AB InBev postpones SAB Zenzele B-BBEE ownership transaction due to Covid-19
The ownership transaction and SAB Zenzele Scheme has been postponed for up to one year.
Anheuser-Bush InBev has announced, after monitoring the impact of Covid-19, that it will be postponing the unwind and implementation of the SAB Zenzele B-BBEE ownership transaction by up to one year.
AB InBev, together with SAB and SAB Zenzele Kabili, has also resolved to postpone the SAB Zenzele Scheme.
In a statement, the brewer said now is not the right time to introduce a scheme that will see the independent board asking SAB Zenzele retailer shareholders to make a long-term equity investment decision.
